The film honoring the life of technology innovator Steve Jobs will not be hitting theaters for its original April release date. Why has the date been changed? Find out the details on ‘jOBS’ below.
The biopic ‘jOBS’ received a lot of media attention as the first film to bring the life of the late Steve Jobs to the silver screen. The film stars Ashton Kutcher as Jobs and Josh Gad as his partner Steve Wozniak. Back in January, the film was debuted at Sundance Film Festival. The debut was met with mixed reviews on Twitter from Sundance attendees especially for Kutcher’s performance as Jobs.
Besides the Sundance critiques, Steve Wozniak also was not fond of the film, leaving negative feedback for the portrayal of Jobs and himself.
The film’s distributor, Open Road, has cancelled the original release date of April 19th. A new date has not been set yet for the release so it is up in the air when we will be able to judge the film for ourselves. According to the distributor, there wasn’t enough “buzz” surrounding the film so the release was cancelled for April.
