RunPee App Review
The beauty of watching a movie in your home is that you can pause it at any time — to make a trip to the bathroom, maybe have a snack, or take a phone call. An app will make your movie theater experience more convenient, kind of like it is at home. While you can’t pause a movie in a theater, this app tells you when you can make a break for the bathroom or snack bar.

The aptly named RunPee will definitely come in handy if you’re a theater-goer — although you may not want to announce the name of it too loudly. It tells you the best time to take a bathroom break during a movie without missing any major scenes. The app will also fill you in on what you missed while you were gone.

The app will list one-to-four windows of times during the movie that would make for a good break. RunPee will cause the phone to vibrate when you’re approaching that window, and buzz again to let you know that window is over.

Some of RunPee‘s Facebook users say they prefer to use the app prior to the movie starting, that way they don’t disturb the pickiest viewers with the light from the phone. Although, RunPee says most people sitting next to you in the theater won’t even notice you accessing it, especially because the app has a dark background.

And besides helping you take smart bathroom breaks, RunPee will let you know if the credits are worth sticking around for — as in, if there are any extra scenes at the end.

If you see a movie on opening night, however, RunPee’s creators won’t be able to help you with breaks. They don’t get any pre-screenings, but they do see movies on opening weekends, map out the best break times, and update the app.

The app is available for free on Android, Windows and iPhone for .99 cents.
