Google Rumored To Purchase Nest For $3.2 Billion

Google is adding to its technology empire and entering our homes with its latest acquisition of stylish digital appliance company Nest.

Nest was founded in 2010 and is based in Palo Alto, California. Nest CEO Tony Fadell started the company after leaving Apple. While at Apple he helped design the iPhone and iPad. Nest obtained a strong buzz with its unique approach to common home appliances; one of its best sellers is the Nest Learning Thermostat.

The acquisition for Google expands the company deeply into the home market; currently as we know Google develops smartphones, PCs, and tablets. With Nest products Google will skillfully promote the interconnected all digital home.

Don’t worry however if you own or plan on purchasing a Nest device you will not have commercials popping up on your devices. Fadell will still run the show at Nest with the acquisition and said it will be following its current privacy policy, which limits the sharing of personal data with third parties, and it requires the user’s consent.
