He may be fourth in line to be President, but John Kerry still has to shovel his snow! The Boston Globe reported that the Secretary of State got slapped Thursday with a $50 fine for failing to clear part of his sidewalk.
According to the paper, that part of the sidewalk was roped off with hazard tape to protect pedestrians from ice and snow sliding off of Kerry’s roof, so his regular snow removal contractor left it alone. The contractor has since cleared the snow, and Secretary Kerry said he will pay the fine anyway.
While it appears to be much ado about nothing, it’s a good reminder for all good Sharper Image fans to think about our neighbors’ safety and keep those sidewalks clear. Our Cordless Snow Shovel is one way to do just that. It’s the perfect size for walks, stairs and decks, and runs up to 40 minutes on a full charge. The Snow Shovel with Wheels needs no charge, however. It has a pair of 10” heavy-duty tires that make it seem more like a plow than a shovel. And, let’s not forget about that ice and snow on the roof. Clear it off with the handy 21-Foot Snow Rake.
With 49 days til spring (but who’s counting?) it’s a safe bet we’ll have some more snow in the forecast. Just remember to be safe, have fun, and look out for your neighbors!
