This week Game Informer released information from sources with “knowledge of the in-development hardware,” of an Android game console that could hit retail outlets before the year’s end, maybe by Black Friday. The system will have a dedicated controller and  for content users will play digital games already offered by Amazon on its website.

Developments throughout the year support the rumor of an Amazon gaming console. Gaming blog Kotaku posted about Amazon’s hiring of game developers like the executive producer for Gears of War 3 and Quantum Break.

This past May, a revolutionary product was previewed at a job recruiting event:

We are working on a new revolutionary V1 product that will allow us to deliver Digital Media to our customers in new ways and disrupt the current marketplace. We believe this new product will be even bigger than Kindle.

The gaming console just add to the growing rumored list of future Amazon products. Rumors have leaked of Amazon developing a smartphone and a set-top box. Amazon has not commented on the rumors at the present time however.
